This weekend we had a family gathering and I traveled to where I grew up on the farm on the other side of the state (Western ND).
My mom and dad still reside there. Dad just turned 85 last month and still walks 2 miles every morning and 2 miles in the afternoon. I hope I am still that active when I am his age!
I hit parks along the way and detected in a few parks/baseball fields in the area.
I used the ultimate 13 about 70% percent of the time for the weekend.
For coins I ended the weekend pulling 2 barber dimes (1905,1911), 5 mercs, 1 quarter (1944), 3 indian heads (1891,1900,1902), 2 Canadian pennies (1940s), 3 nickels (1920,1941,1955) and 30
wheat pennies.
Jewelry found was 3 rings. I believe the silver one (7 inches deep) has an Onyx stone and is huge (approx. size 12). The 2nd one is stamped 10k gold and the 3rd is a cheaper ring.
The button is some sort of older musical button? If anyone knows please let me know. It has an older loop on the back. The smaller pin is a FFA vocational pin.
Again I was getting excellent depth with the 13 inch. A few of the real faint pennies were not to far from maxing out my depth guage. It has been an extremely wet year up here which helps depth a little.
