I went to a few local schools saturday found a few coins and a junk ring then sunday went north to a small town grade school that i have not been to in a while and the totlot was loaded did good there in the soccer field also. tonight i went to the local high school soccer field found one of the nicer looking silver rings ive found so far strange thing is all the deeper targets read alot lower there than most other places quarters in the low 70s dimes mid to low 60s the silver was a bouncy signal in the high 60s must be alot of iron in the soil there, hh

Nice ring and a pocket full of coins, that's some nice digging! What are you using for a detector?

Lots of good digging. Neat looking ring. Nice find! Maybe some fill had been brought in??? HH jim tn

john im using a f75 special edition pony at the soccer field last night i was digging everything that was reading above 15 and that pinpointed good i got a few deeper nickels that where reading 17 to 22 i was running in je mode disc at 15 sense at 70 and 4 tones ground balance was in the 70s thanks for the positive comments everyone hh

I'm slowly learning how to translate the F70/F75 settings over to the F5, or at least similar settings. Thanks for the info!!!

I've been a bum lately for posting, but I have a few different trips to post on here, including some Mud-like clad expeditions! :wiggle:

Thanks for the settings EZ, It's nice to see not only the detector used but the settings. Though not the same setting can be used every where, it can be a starting point.

Great hunting! I sometimes see variances in the TID numbers on coins in certain sites but not as large as you experienced. I just chalked it up to me not ground balancing and just kept stabbing. There sure is a lot of guys out detecting this time of year..I run into strangers nearly everyday out...so the race is on!

Very nice finds ez I to have experienced low readings on normally high number targets, usualy ground balancing cures it and sometimes I'll add a few numbers on the gb to stabilize the readings...hh rick in m
