Weekend find from 1840s church

I was kind of freaked when I found this...My first this big does it mean something?

I do believe you found Jesus :) What kind of metal is it?

n/t

50 - 60 odd years ago, some religious orders (Nuns etc) used to wear a large set of Rosary beads at their waist, and the crucafix would be stuck in their belt...could it be one of those...I notice there is a ring at the top for attaching it to something, but it's hard to tell exactly how big (or small) it is. If it is small (1" - 2") then it could have come from a smaller set of rosary beads.

Amazing what can be found and the questions they can present. Any markings on it?

no marking I looked really hard but look at the bottom of the cross

Yea, notice that. Tried to zoom in but couldn't tell if it was a skull or face.
