My wife and I went with our friend Gary to one of Canada's major cities for a 2 day trip over labor day weekend.
Ironically the 1916 Large Cent was pulled from an old area school the day before we left (where I got an 1865 Indian last year).
The very old flat button was also pulled there along with 2 Jeff nickels and a few wheat pennies. The large cent was right at 9-10 inches deep. The flat button was way down also.
The flat button has an intact loop on the back side.
** 6 silver half dimes are back to 1901. ** One of the 1901 half dimes is not pictured as I lost it somewhere in the park after I found it!! Ugg. That made me sick to my stomach.
It must have stuck to my hand and came out of my pocket after I found another coin. I couldn't find it on the surface anywhere. I used my zippered pocket the rest of the day to contain the tiny fish scale coins.
It eased my pain to pull 2 more half dimes after I lost the other old Victoria. The Tornado coil was nailing the deep half dimes very good.
4 silver dimes are back to 1914.
7 King George V pennies are back to 1920. Numerous King George VI pennies are back to 1938. I also got a handful of wheat pennies including a 1915s.
Also pulled was a 1907 Austrian 2 Heller Coin.
Gary who runs an Etrac found a 1920 large cent (his first) , 1 1951 Canadian quarter, 2 King George V pennies and a few king George VI pennies in the 40s-50s and a 1906 Indian head penny.
Every park we went to had absolutely been pounded by someone as we saw numerous plugs in each one and I saw well over 100 plugs in one park and in every part of the park.
