Week-end with E-trac....

The clad money is not in the picture as I throw it in a jar. Found these things and coins in places that we have hunted many many times over. Do not know if the ET is that much better or I just missed this before????? All the pennies except one indian head are wheaties. 2 silvere rings. The lock that says us, does that mean army or some other branch of service?..I am (was) thinking about getting a Vision but the manual scares me. Really wonder if I would do that much better with a Vision than I am doing with the ET.. thanks

That's a whole lot of good hunting for one weekend Sonny. As for the Vision, I've been reading about it on the other forum....looks like a lot of bells and whistles. The sizing option looks neat, but how many neat things is a guy going to not dig because it didn't show by sizing that it was a dime, quarter or whatever. Will the Vision go any deeper that the Etrac? For me it would be hard to believe it does, I've found deeper coins with the Etrac than any other detector I ever owned. Besides, you get a detector with that many options and bells a whistles, you spend your time tweaking it and less time detecting. I had a dfx, never could get it to go as deep as the the golden umax that I had at the time, and I tried every setting on the detector to get more depth, a lot of time spent fiddling, and less time detecting.
Looks we lost 2 great contributors to the etrac forum, Ray & Jason to the vision forum, from what I read they're both happy, something new to play with, as for me, I'll keep my etrac, and leave the playing to someone else. TC and have more weekends like the one you just posted!

Sonny , looks like the ET is working for you .I would wait on the Vision.... No one really knows how to set it up yet to get the most out of it. Hell....they don't even have the manual for it yet. It might turn out to be a great detector. But like the XLT and the DFX....if there not set-up with a good program your not going to get the most out of them. Let the smoke clear...... your doing well with the ET. Take the 1700.00 and book a trip to England :~)
