I could not contain myself. I had to go back to where I got that Seated Dime and see if anything else was lurking around. I had about an hour, so I stuck to the trail that the dime had been on. About 75' away, I got a solid Nickel hit at an indicated 1". I flipped over some dirt, and sure enough, it's a nickel. A crusty brown dirty nickel. I picked it up, filled in my hole, and then looked at the nickel, hoping for a Buff, or older. The first side I saw was totally caked in dirt. I flipped it over, and saw that I had a Jefferson. On well. I started brushing the accumulated dirt off with my nylon-bristled brush, when I realized that metal I was seeing was awfully silver-colored, when older nickels around here are generally DARK chocolate, or rust-red, depending on soil. Suddenly, something clicken in my head. I flipped it back over to the reverse, and sure enough, there's a mintmark above the dome of Monticello. Sweet, my third War Nickel this year! Here she is:

It came out from under a pine tree, so it's a little stained. I only managed a modern penny, a few older pulltabs, and a piece of scrap brass.
I think the next time I go back, I'll try to work a grid pattern, as best I can, between the trees and brush. It may have to wait until fall, winter, or spring, as it's starting to grow up rather tall right now.
Note: the picture(s) might not show up due to bandwidth limitations. If the picture(s) are not there, check back at a later time.
