Wedding Band Returned To Owner

Was out detecting today going from park to park. I pulled up in front of this park in an older neighborhood and pulled my detector out of the car. A man who lives across the street started asking me about the detector. He said he had lost his wedding band 4 years earlier and had rented a detector for 3 days in an attempt to find it. After wasting $120, he had still not found it. I offered to help him find it, he was a little reluctant to have me look for it, he said he didn't want to waste my time. Later on he came over to talk to me again and asked if i would give it a shot. I asked him what the ring was made out of and about where he had lost it. He said he had lost it in the bushes near the driveway. After about 10 minutes on my 3rd signal I pulled out his 14k white gold wedding band. He was really surprised that I was able to find it. We drank a beer together in celebration. He insisted that he gave me something for finding it. He ended up writing me a check for $50. It ended up being a pretty good day after all.
