My siding and other house projects are coming along.I need to take a break and do some detecting with the Sovereign.Nothing better in a nice park, with gold and silver finds at the end of the search.Happy Hunting.Ron

I spent 7 1/2 hours with my Gt in a park today. Found a bunch of clad and also a double hand full of stinking lincolns. But alas no silver and no gold. But I still had fun. I am beginning to think my GT is a Clad Hound. Yes my right arm is tired as well as the rest of my old body.

George, the Sovereign will find that gold and deep silver, my clad is usually snack and gas money.Good luck maybe the next search. Thanks Ron

Ron She that must be obeyed says that all the clad that I find goes towards financing a trip to Puerto Rico next year. I was stationed down there for three years back in the 70's and we loved the place. We are hoping to go back as a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary. I had hopes for the park that I visited yesterday but didn't find what I was looking for. Not sure how old the park is but there are a number of old homes in the neighborhood.

George, that's a good plan.Sooner or later nice gold or silver will be found, too many people forget there is a little work and exercise involved, which is better than siting around the TV or computer all day. Thanks Ron

I have been at this for 13 months now. So far I have dug 15 sterling rings, 12 silver coins, 1 10k ring, some pendants and ear rings that are sterling and a huge pile of clad. Saying how much might be considered to be bragging so I will not give a total. Even found a sterling Army Marksmanship badge at a former National Guard Armory. I thoroughly enjoy detecting and being completely retired I do go quite often. The exercise I get just adds to the pleasure of being outdoors enjoying what I am doing.

Sounds like you've done pretty well George. Are you running more than one coil?

I have a Full compliment of coils for my Sovereign GT. I am thinking that I may in the future have to thin the herd just a little. I wanted to see for myself what different coils would do for me and for the most part I lately have been using just three of the coils. One I use only at the beach and one I use in high trash areas. The other one is on the machine most of the time.

George,I usually only keep a couple of coils around for the Sovereign. At this point in time I'm satisfied with the Tornado 800 and the SEF 10X12.Most used coils for Sovereigns fetch a good price,so you should do well when you thin the herd.Good Luck Ron
