Weather here not good for metal detecting photos of how I spent part of the day

Arghhh.... The dreaded white stuff, at least you're making the best of it! We have about the same amount of snow down here in Milford. I had to break out the plow yesterday for only the 3rd time this year. Honestly, I'd rather be detecting. :detecting:

Jon,one thing I have notied about that trail, look at the tree line. That was a road at one time before the county made a park out of it. HH Ron

Ron I havent been on the skinny skis since the 80s. Used to xcrountry a bunch out in CA in Yosemite and further south in the Angeles Crest/San Gabriel mtns.
We just got a dusting ourselves and hopefully thats all that will be coming this winter:drinking:

Neil, the weather isn't very good for skiing here either not enough snow base, but not complaining. The US has really improved in this sport since the 80s and 90s.Use to race a few years ago 400 skiers lined up, shot gun start, ski poles and elbows made life interesting.I used rock skis today, but used my composite Swix Ski poles the lightest and less flex of all Nordic race poles any what the ad says, down side $300.00 and will break with too much sideways pressure. HH Ron

Jon,on my drive to Indy last week I drove by M59 and I 23.This is in your area. In 1976 a park just a 1/2 mile north this park had a seeded metal detector hunt.I was in that hunt so I knew all the field used during this event. Those old detectors probably left a lot of silver behind.HH Ron

That might be worth checking out when this cold weather decides to let up. I've been doing a ton of research on new hunting areas for this season, and have found some that look very promising. We'll have to try and meet up for a few hunts this year. :detecting:

We had our bit of winter also here in The Netherlands. I went to the beach last Sunday with temperatures of 28 F.

I had to skip several good targets because the sand was still frozen.

Only could search close to the water edge. Found some Euro coins, and some junk jewelery.
