I have been using this simple weather band unit for many years and it's always right on. It says storms are moving through our area tonight, snow down to 3,000 ft. We are at 2400 ft in Tucson. It gives the southwestern US area report as well as locally.
It gives all kinds of info on the weather and has saved many a fishing or detecting trip.
I got it from Radio Shack about 20 years ago - size of a transistor radio, very inexpensive.
It only deals with weather - is always right on, Steve in so az
