Hey guys, I'm still here. Been out just a couple of times this season...Memorial Day is the start for me, because there's NOTHING going on here before that. Last weekend I found two silver rings. My daughter snatched 'em up before I could even take a picture. No gold yet, but it's coming. I can FEEL it! :)

Well, I certainly have a long way to go to put anybody to shame. But as in the last few years straight, I have every confidence that I will be posting a few killer finds this summer.

And I WILL post them. And if anybody wants to take issue with that, they had better have a receipt or they can kiss my butt. And if they DO have a receipt, or other credible proff of ownership, I will gladly return same. I've done well for myself in this hobby and don't need to worry about anybody rightfully wanting their stuff back...I have no problem with that. I think there are a few too many of us that are getting into the "bunker mentality" with not wanting to post stuff. Kind of makes me want to not come around.

Just my two cents, but why the hell else do we come here? Hunting and posting and sharing in each other's good fortune is what this place has always been about. Can I get an amen?

Anyway, off the soapbox now. Good luck to you my friend...hope to see a few killer finds from you here. :)

The season is just not here yet in Bermuda either. It seems a little late this year but there's just no burning desire to hunt the honeyholes yet. I'm focussing on older sites and obscure places, having a ball doing just that. Normally, I'd be peaking because I haven't had a gold fix in over a month but my gut tells me it's just not there yet, at least in Bermudian waters. Now Florida is another story all together.:usaflag:

Cheers Mate,

BDA:cool:

I'm feeling VERY lucky for this weekend. If I don't get gold I will be surprised.

Part of our problem here is that until last weekend it was still pretty chilly in the water, this due to a few cold snaps that we had. But in the last few days my pool has warmed from the low 60's to a high today for the season (I took it out of mothballs about 3 weeks ago) of a nice 71 degrees. And that's with us at 92 today...hotest this year so far. Tomorrow it's 94, then 95 on Friday and for the weekend and beyond, 97! So the swimmers will be out IN FORCE this weekend. Low tide hunts for us will be 3:30 AM to 7:30 AM on Saturday morning and 4:30 to 8:30 on Sunday morning. I expect there WILL be bling! :)

So good luck to you and also to all the local booty plunderers here. :)

AND to the rest of the Virginia Beach Pirates, I'm looking forward to hunting with you very SOON!

Yes, that's right.... I'm coming back to town to hunt with my big brother Mike, :twodetecting: so please save me SOME GOLD this year! Last year you guys kept it all to yourselves, but THIS year, I would really appreciate a little CONSIDERATION! :wiggle: That means, if you hear a low gold-like tone - why not just leave it there for me? You know it's probably another pull tab anyway, so why bother digging it?

No one is buying it? Okay. Suit yourselves. I guess I'll just have to work that much harder!

This time I'll be there a full two weeks, so MAYBE I'll have a little more luck. My mother and I are flying in early on June 25 and flying out late on July 9. We'll do the "family thing" during the day and the "treasure hunting thing" whenever low tide is.

I'm looking forward to seeing Ina, Max, Robracer, David in Suffolk Va, Tony, Sarge and the rest of the Va Bch Pirates... Just save me SOMETHING, please, so I don't have to return home to my club meeting in total SHAME!!!!

HH!
Stacey
