I got glasses a few weeks ago and damn, now my headphones hurt my ears!.:rage:..takes a lot of the fun out of hunting....I've tried wearing thin stocking hats, all that...so what pair of quality phones do you other fellows recommend for comfort when a guy wears glasses? Really want somebody who experienced this annoyance pipe up with what phones are the most comfortable when wearing glasses...I guess I can hunt in the dark on the beach this summer without wearing glasses, since a guy cant see anything anyway....

I have Garrett land phones and Garrett blue water proof phones, no problem up until now......I got the go ahead to dump a little money back into my sport this Spring...

I used to have the same problem with most all headphones or they sat too lose and would fall off my head. Since I switched to the better headphones that have the thicker ear cups I have notice any or not too noticeable problems like before. Those are the ones like the Sun Ray Pros, Detector Pros the makers of the Gray Ghost and a few others all with the thicker ear cups as they block out the background noise, sits tight for me and don't fall off and don't notice my ears getting sore as they did before.
For me these work real good for me and lets see what others have to say.

Yea, glasses are a pain behind the ear. I wear glasses on a string and put them on when retrieving a target...on..off...on ...off, all day. My headphones ear muffs are worn through at the spot the glasses slide past.

Wow....I wear a set of reading glasses while tecting and never ever noticed any discomfort....????? I wear a set of Seinhauser headphones but they are kinda spendy.......

If you have a extra pair, take the ear pieces off and use tape or hot glue to build them up to slip a elastic type eyeglass keeper on them.. No more discomfort..

I dont wear my glasses while hunting for same reason... ive seen some buzz on here recently about earbuds but I havent tried them myself...

I have never had a problem wearing my glasses while detecting. I wear the Killer B II headphones and the nice thick ear pads do not cause me any discomfort from the glasses. You might benefit from trying on different headphones to be able to find a pair that are comfortable. Must be some folks in your area that you could convince to allow you to try theirs.

Mud, my Black Widow's and Gray Ghosts work fine with my sun glasses. The Gray Ghosts do have a little larger ear cups, if by chance you may have floppy ears. HH jim tn

Floppy ears

I've had glasses forever and use the Sun Ray Pro gold earphones very well padded and don't feel anything.
When you first get glasses they'll be irritating behind the ears till that area toughens up.

Thanks for the great feedback... I'll get a good pair of phones and try them out...I'll call a distributor and let them know I need a set that will accomodate severe ear flop and a huge noggin...sort of like what a baby elephant might wear?

Been wearing glasses for 30yrs. (detecting 50) never had any problems.

Same here until a couple weeks ago.
I stood up fast with the detector laying on the ground and that dam too short, too tightly coiled eTRAC headphone cord violently pulled the headphones right into my sunglasses hard enough to give me a shiner.
I straightened out about two feet of the coiled portion of the cord for more length, problem solved.

Looking at GrayGhost headphones now. How's the coil length on them?
