hey GUYS
back agian and i been thinking why cant we all have a good get togeather of some sort .BBQ and all of us ( i dont care 200 plus people )hit a a beach metal detect .then have a planned hunt with all of use.i dont know i thought it would be cool to see fellow guys into the same alsome hobby as i enjoy .FINDMALL MEET. let me know guys what u all think .

Well,,,where ever there is a beach,,there is usually a campground not too far away. And my GF has been wanting to go camping. 200 plus (possible) people ,,,,would need to be a big beach,,,so we are talking a ocean beach .

For the Canadian folks,,we are talking East coast. lol So somewhere in Mass,,RI,Maine, NY,,CT,NJ or Delaware.

yea that what i was thinking guys. I'm in northern Illinois .i would awesome for all of us to meet up .if i get enough people to support it we can do .i don't know where bill lives but would it be cool for us to see him , i know hes in bad shape but 1 WISH to be with friends who enjoy this great hobby . lets all put thoughts in and try to do something .after tax season save money and we all choose a place. I'm glad everyone likes the idea ,i was have-in a couple beers and thought it up to be cool to meet some of these awesome people on here in person . LET ME KNOW GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[size=large]with the right coordinator , getting 2 hundred people together is not that hard.other orgs do it hundreds of times a year. school re-unions and military unit get togethers. but it has to be a serious effort.

I think the number of 200 was just thrown out there,,I believe it is high also. In this economy,,I really don't know how many people could afford to drive for a day to spend time detecting. For me,,it would be a matter of timing,,as it would probably be for most.

One thing is for sure. Someone would have to step up and coordinate this,,, that is from the area,, it is to be held.

Would need large area to detect ,,with permission ,,for up to 200 people,,(even though will probably not get that many)
And a list of places to stay,,whether a hotel,motel or campground. ( campground for me)
And of course,,a date/time to hold it.

If someone from the area did this,,,and not many showed up,, it's not a big deal.

I would love to make it I would have to know far enough in advance to coordinate the time off its hard to get it on the spar of the moment and I live in Iowa So I am thinking I well have to fly where ever you have it. That would not be a problem as long as I could get a room. At the place and time your thinking of having it.
