WE NEED THAT POST ON THE SUCK DELETED

Hey All You White's Owners:

I happen to own a different brand, and participate in other Forums, but from what I have seen today in my first visit here is a very fine and informative forum for White's owners.

One thing we have in common is Metal Detecting and are just folks wanting to enjoy the hobby and their favorite forums without being harrassed by nuisance posters. This fellow has made his way in to a small forum I happen to like, MD Paradise. Similar putdowns and insults are flying from his keyboard to our forum, and like here, it's not going over well at all.

Just wanted you all to know he's not just picking on White's; he appears to be on a tear around the forums trying to see what he can stir up.

Thanks for listening; and hey, maybe someday I'll own a White's, too.

White's is a great co. I Bought a white tr disc back in 1970 still use it that's quality,I Also have a coinmaster6000 Di series 3 1983 model. I like the manual ground balance. If something went wrong with either one of them. Whites would still repair them, that's service.

:whites:Whites does not suck!:crylol:I have been a Whites customer a long time. I have been a very satisfied customer until just recently. I bought an IDX Pro with all the accessory coils and now they are discontinued. If I get a Prism or a Matrix then I will have to get an all new coils selection because of the frequency changes. :rage: So , if anything, Whites is in the PRE-SUCK catagory and not actually into full blown suckism as of yet. But there is a possibility that Whites could suck in the future if they dont come up with something better than the Matrix and Prisms. But having to get a complete set of new acessory coils is the opitomy of suckism.....and you are probably thinking that this posts really SUCKS, but dont blame me. Blame Homer Simpson for intoducing the term 'That sucks" to the American public!:rofl::rofl:

Hey dirtfisher, here is a possible solution the suckism problem. It is what I did. Buy a new or find a good used XL Pro. They were discontinued at the same time as your IDX Pro. Then you will have 2 great detectors that can share the same accessory coils. Like I said .... works for me.

However, I already have an MXT so I am going to buy those other coils in the long run. Just can't win.

Good hunting
Bob

 Hey Bob, Thats a great idea for a backup! I have heard some great things about the XL Pro. And they can be used with my current collection of search coils. But they are getting harder to find these days because people are buying them up on Ebay like crazy! And the original Spectrums are selling at ridiculously high prices for used stuff! Thanks and Happy Hunting!:detecting:

I think White's only has one 6.59 mhz machine left in their lineup, the XLT. When White's discontinues the XLT they might stop making all of the 6.59 mhz coils. Just a possibility.

The XL PRO is one of White's all time BEST it started as the 6000D and ended as the XL PRO. any detector made from 1985 to 2003 would be a top ended detector.I will keeeeeeep the beast:hot:

dropped the EXCELLENT XL Pro .. EXCELLENT Classic IDX Pro, ID, & III SL and you know it's only a matter of time for the XLT. Sad, isn't it. :(

So, I will continue to hang onto my modified IDX Pro & 4" coil because it's deadly in trash-infested sites! :)

 Judging from all these posts that support the Pro Series you would think that Whites would listen to their customers and plan a new 6.59 Khz series. Also just take a peek at Ebay and see which Whites machines are selling at high prices. THEY ARE ALL 6.59 Khz machines!!!!:surprised: I dont understand stopping a good thing:shrug:

If it aint broke,...dont fix it!!!!:nono:

If you get an XL Pro it will probably move quickly from a backup machine to your primary detector. I have had mine for about 4 months and it continues to impress me. The machine, with help from people like Monte, is easy to use but it keeps teaching me things.

I do not understand why White's discontinued the XL Pro. I heard their sales were slow. If White's had advertised/promoted them more, I believe a lot more of them would have sold.

If you are serious about getting an XL Pro, try to contact RichardTn on this forum. He is a dealer that supports this site. His dealership is Backwoods Detectors at (423)360-1242. Or, you can contact Brian Pennington of Southern Treasures at 866 849-7732. One of them may still have a new XL Pro in stock or know of another dealer that does have one.

If you get an XL Pro send me a PM. I have quite a few tips and tricks, mostly from Monte, that I can send you.

HH Bob

 Thanks for the advise Bob. Sounds like I cant go wrong with the XL Pro. I read another post where someone said that the Pros were discontinued because of slow sales. But, duh, all you ever hear is DFX this and DFX that, so everybody thinks they have to get the best. But "the best" is not always needed to find some great stuff in the ground. User experience goes a long way with ANY machine. Happy Hunting! DF

 Thanks Bob. Its gonna be awhile before I can afford an XL Pro. I have to sell off a few cheaper units first. HH dirtfisher
