We had a visitor

Few weeks ago we had a visitor...over the years i had seen it before but i dont know if its the same one or a different one...it is a possum...it was dark and my wife (she knew what it was) called me outside and it took me a moment to see it due to darkness. The possum walked the top of the fence without a

worry like he owned the place.very leisurely/slow walking pace....i posted most of the pics because its sorta out of the ordinary (at least us city people)...

Do you have them where you are? Possums

Yes, we have them down here in Texas. Some folks eat them, make a Possum Pie with the meat. They are considered a pest by many folks. Also, they will bite given the chance. Kelley (Texas) :)

ive lived at the same residence for many years and i think this may be the 3rd time ive seen one....what caught my eye was how slow he moved on the fence....he sure knew his way around....looks like a rat on steroids..

While there i saw a sign at a school i had never seen before ...read the top one....i know they have deer and its a highly populated area but there are isolated areas in the area as well....check this sign out at an elementary school

I have never seen one, but I have a cousin over near Yoakum, Texas who claims he saw one when he was a young boy. They will kill a small calf, goat, or something similar, then suck all the blood out of it. It does not eat the animal it kills, just sucks the blood out of it. I would love to get a picture of one of those animals. Kelley (Texas) :)

i thought i read that they found a carcasse of the beast....it sure looked nasty and mean ........even dead!!!

I know there are mountain lion sightings every so often up in Sacramento. There was also one last fall in the small town I graduated high school in. The puma was in the local cemetery, at night.

I have seen them occasionally, mostly they mind thier own business.. Kind of timid and quiet... Had one? Living under my shed a few years ago.

i see coyotes fairly regularly around the edge of town....i posted the warning sign at the school because i had never seen that b efore..... i had heard of warnings on the news on occasion..lots of deer around the area (evidence is on the ground) .im guessing that most of the animals out there want to be left alone unless provoked, hungry , running out of space due to civilization moving into their 'hood, or protecting their young ones

Got 'em here in Michigan all over the place, I mostly see them plastered on someone's grill though. Caught one in my garbage can one time, very nasty disposition when found like that.
