We detecting brothers who made the hunt were blessed - but what of our wives and children who came?

These are the comments Sherry wanted to share with me and anyone else who wondered or cared about how this weekend affected the wife(wives) and child (children) that came along 'for the ride' so to speak.

Here is the link to her comments - if you would like to hear the pespective of an 'outsider' - a non-detectorist - a non-forum regular, etc.

I think what she says is important - just as we have much to share - I was moved with what she shared with me.

To my loving wife - thank you for making this one of the best times of my life.

Almost forgot the url: http://www.owly.net/FromAWife.html

Make sure Sherry sees this. That was an awesome way to sum up the weekend. Yes we are brothers in Christ, and we did grow closer this weekend. But know this! The women are a big part of our meeting. Even those that had no wives in attendance. We enjoy our hobby because they give us their blessings (Not always) :) And we love loving them and doing things for them, including loving Christ. Some of us would not have met Christ if it wasn't for you ladies! I enjoyed the time I spent with my sisters as much as you brothers!

she was able to talk with Chris and Vickie. Chris wasn't up to walking around the area so Mary and Vickie took off together. Found out they had a lot in common. She ended the day by feeling feeling blessed herself. We wish we could have heard Joe sing and Vickie play the piano but we had to go home. She's the one that said let's stay for the BBQ and knew it would make us late getting home.
