We are thinking of having a relic hunt down south... And we'll be making sure it's a good site... Any takers?

We've had the Find's in Louisville hunt, the Find's in Hartford hunt and now we're exploring a fee based hunt much like others around with some really nice differences. Not anywhere near free but very well put on. Let me know what you think and especially if you would think of showing up and meeting others on this forum this fall.

Along the same lines, I agree that the date is important.
The "other" hunts are about one year in advance. While some need that kind of time to prepare, or save up for the trip, there are others who only need a FEW WEEKS notice. I'm sure there are quite a few detectorists who don't need many months advance notice.
I made the mistake of signing up for one of those "other" hunts, but due to circumstances beyond my control I had to withdraw one year later due to work issues. Who knows what the heck is going to be happening in our lives one year later.
If the GUV has a "different" kind of hunt, then they should try to set the date no more than a month ahead of time.
Just my opinion.

I'm all over it, whenever it is. <IMG SRC="/metal/html/tesoro.gif" BORDER=0 width=45 height=18 ALT="t~">

I thought Big money was paid for virgin sites <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug"> Did ya dig any relics?

The one I was talking about was the 2002 GNRS in La. All I can say is that I was glad to see friends....I dug better relics the days before hand.....I was not impressed with his site. Spanked! I went from being a board member to being partially banned from the depot. It may sound harsh but I have come to the realization that TR is a lying little con artist.

A lot of folks spend a good bit of money for them hunts, especially with the travelling and all. I remember another board member saying about the same thing as you. Maybe this NS hunt they are on now will be a better site, but I think it's the same place they hunted last time?? For the diggers sake, I hope they all dig some good relics.

Sounds Like a great deal would like another chance to go on one of those hunts, signed up on the other ??? but like some other fellow said had to withdraw due to medical reasons. also its like others have said some can go anytime others have to have a lot of notice and reasons are or my reason is at least what State the hunt would be held in and approx. what dates so that those of us who aren't quite at that retired age and have to work to eat can try to start planning our possiable chance to hunt relics JM2cents for what it's worth!
