Waterproof plug??

kanaka2

New member
I want to use my CTX wireless headphones under my raincoat hood when hunting in the rain. Is there a waterproof plug for the waterproof head phone jack in the back of the CTX? Did I miss something out of the box? I have the plastic "adapter" for the ROSS headphones but of course it is not water tight even to rain.

Thanks!
Jason

If you take off the 1/4" jack from the rear of machine (use coin in plastic screw) It will expose the waterproof connector that is available.

Underwater (waterproof) headphones are a optional purchase. Waterproof headphones are a WIRED connection only. There is no option for wireless that is waterproof.

I put a plastic arrow nock in my 1/4 plug so i could use my wireless headphones covered in the rain the way you are

I never use the land headphones plugged into the CTX. Just to keep dirt and moisture out, I used this automotive rubber plug. I had to trim the small end slightly, but works fine. (It may be a fuel door or glove box stop for a 60s era car, I don't remember.)

I don't have the 1/4" headphone adapter installed on my machine. I don't use it and figured why add the extra weight, every little bit helps.
