waterproof machines

I have watched videos of people using waterproof metal detectors and want to know which is the least expensive unit. I'm not talking about machines with waterproof search coils, but units that can be totally submerged without being damaged. There are creeks and rivers I would like to search but if I have an accident and drop the processor end of my metal detector in the water, I don't want it to be ruined.

Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?
