Waterproof Earbuds

I have a CTX and purchased the 8 pin waterproof connector but have yet to solder it to a good pair of headphones. I do not want clunky headphones but rather some great quality earbuds, any suggestions? I'm leaning towards the H2O Audio IE2-BK Surge 2G Waterproof Earbuds but really don't know if there's anything better.

thanks ya'll & HH !!!

i have thought about using earbuds but i doubt they will hold up. thin wire being to flimsy for detecting.

I've used them on my Excalibur. I found them to be pretty good and fairly strong and had no problem with them mechanically. The only problem I had was that the rubber ear insert caused my ear to sweat inside the ear piece. It then would cause the sound to almost stop as so much water was in the ear canal. All I did was pull them out, let the water drain and then kept going. But it was kind of a PITA.

I prefer now the set of earphones I made. Using aftermarket sound proofing headphones and aftermarket speakers with the gel pads. Really quiet and very comfortable.

Thanks for the input, I know that I'm not actually using them for long term "diving" just for swimming holes and such with a snorkel and mask. I most likely will never submerge them for more than a few seconds at a time so I think I'm going to give those H2O's a go. I'll post pics after I put them together.

thank ya'll...HH

I bought some ( can't remember the name , though the ones you mention sound familiar. They have a piece of plastic that wraps around the back of your head ) . Anyway , they didn't have the same amount of wires , so decided not to attempt it , as I didn't want to mess my machine up.
