Water hunting problem

I was out this weekend wading in water, I noticed when my screen was underwater the machine would stop detecting almost a null but not the same. When I brought the screen out of the water it would begin functioning normally again. Anyone else experience this? I was using my WM10 with the waterplug firmly installed and the WM10 well out of the water.

Oops, it looks as though you need the waterproof headphone connector or the machine will lose the signal to the WM10-thats why we post to figure things out.

from my understanding if you use the wireless wm10 in the water if you submerge the detectors control unit (screen) you will lose the wireless signal to the WM 10. if you plug wired headphones directly into the detector itself then it is good up to 10ft.

the part about the wireless is accurate. But you'll need waterproof headphones plugged into the waterproof jack to submerge it. HH Randy

The waterproof headphone connector is a separate matter than the wireless module. You can use the wireless module without the waterproof headphones. But the wireless module is not waterproof and will lose communication with the CTX 3030 if the display goes underwater. And if you're not using waterproof headphones, you'll need to put the little plug in the waterproof headphone jack before you get it wet. You can use waterproof headphones and submerge the CTX 3030 up to ten feet.
