Water hunt.

Mike Chgo area

Well-known member
Bob,Jerry, and I were able to hook up for 1 more hunt together before Bob heads north this week. The beach we hit was some hard digging. Lots of rocks and hard pan for the most part and lots and lots of pull tabs and beaver tails of the big pull tabs. Those are a real pain in the tukas. I got a nice 10k with a star like cluster with six small diamonds with a little larger one in the middle. All small though. Got a nice gold religious medallion about as wide as a quarter and the usual oblong shape. Has designs all around and is two sided with The Holy Mother on one side and Jesus on the other. The loop for the chain is solid mounted on the piece. Hey Steve, it has a 10 stamped on one side but no K there. Hope that is grahams as it is thick and heavey. Got 9 quarters,8 dimes,2 nickels, and 27 pennies. Must have thrown away about 30 pull tabs. Hope all had a great weekend.

Glad you dug the tabs - the gold is there as you found out. I'll bet the K is worn off the 10 K stamp. Look closely with a magnifier and see. Also, some times the karat mark is right in the wording on the face - if it has any. Good digs - sure wish we had water to hit, Steve in so az
