I got out with my buddy for some water hunting and in the last hour of hunting, I found this little 10 karat ring.. need to have the stones checked to see if they are real.
My buddy found the bracelet and also found a nice tungsten ring ( didn't have my camera to take of pic of it ).
It's strange how things work out sometimes, but the area we were hunting was a freshwater lake that has 5 swimming beaches on it surrounded by homes.
We searched the main beach and then left to search the second beach and this where my buddy found the tungsten ring.
After searching there for a while, we drove around to the 3rd beach and while searching there a couple folks came over to us and asked if we were finding anything and one guy mentioned that his son lost a wedding band at the second beach a couple
of days ago.
I asked him what material the ring was made of and he said gold.
I gave him my number for his son get in touch with us and we would see if we could narrow the location down and perhaps find the ring for him.
He texted his son and asked for a description of the ring and he said it was dark gray and had angled slots around it.
We instantly knew that the ring my buddy found was it and returned it to the guy to give to his son.
Needless to say he was pleasantly surprised when we told him we had found the ring.
Perhaps that event had something to do with me finding the gold ring later in the day!!LOL
I usually do not like finding hair pins in the scoop, but this one was pretty neat and unique.
The bracelet weighed 19.4 grams and the ring was 1.8 grams.
Overall it was a good day.. we got a couple nice keepers and returned a ring to it's owner to boot!!!
Thanks for looking!!
