Which of the following detectors will be better for beach hunting in chest deep saltwater.
A) whites PI Pro
B) Tesoro sand shark
C) Garrett seahunter 2
Thanks for your help.

I recently decided to get into water hunting I know the excablier is great but did not want to spend $1100 on 1 detector so I decided to get two detectors 1 for salt 1 for fresh after looking and researching I bought a Whites PI pro and if the weather breaks this week end I will use it to see how it does but so far just playing around the house its great. the other detector I bought is a detector pro headhunter diver waiting on it to be delivered. hope this helps. PM if you get the whites AND I can tell you a dealer that will give you a great deal.

My choice is the Excalibur, had whites and garrett's both good machines but the Excalibur wins hands down in my opinion goes as deep as the other machines bonus is that it will ignore iron targets, bit heavy but once you put the Babbs straight shaft its ok.

Cheers Raoul

Have you considered a Fisher 1280X Aquanaut? They work in salt water, fresh water, and on land.
