Water Booties

Any suggestions for water detecting and foot wear. I"
ve been wearing my old sneakers, but getting pretty old dumping the sand out. Thanks. Desmond

Check out the neoprene dive boots by a company called DeepSea, very comfortable with a durable sneaker bottom. I got mine at a dive shop in Florida. They have a 30 dollar model and the 54 dollar model that I got. Lifetime warranty, they've done great at keeping the sand out. They don't sell half sizes so if you're a 9 1/2 get the 10's if you're a 10 1/2 get the 11's etc.
Good Luck!
Glenn

I have worn these for 18 months with no problems, no blisters on 6 hr. hunts and no sand in side. You may have to clean the sand out of the zipper now and then to get it to zip smoothly. Made by Mares. Around 35.00. Good Luck and HH

I picked up a pair of 3 mm Seasoft Sunrays, after good reviews on this or another forum and they are great. Sole of a tennis shoe, light and comfortable and for the most part sand free.

I did add an insole for better arch support but that was the only criticism I can think for them........$63.00 shipped and they were here in just a couple days.

I too have the SeaSoft Sunrays..... What a Great Boot... I don't think a Speck of sand has entered the inside yet...

I had a pair of dive boots that I used to wear that came up high instead of the ankle. I had problems with the heat and the salt water was cooking my feet and making them peel. I don't know if I was allergic to the neoprene too or not. So I cut them down to just above the bone on my ankle and I wear a thin pair of low socks. It works great. If when walking my feet get hot I just go in the water and cool them off and the bottoms are nice and sturdy too. I could have bought a low deep sea pair but figured why waste the money when I had these to cut down. I have been using them for 3 years now with no problem.

You won't look good in these but no sand gets in them and they work great. Check out the the NRS website they have a wide selection and a price that will fit your budget.

Aloha I have a pair of these NRS also and there the best water shoes money can buy. I have had two other pairs of shoes and these by far are the most comfortable ones. HH Paul
