Watch Fob

Tony N (Michigan)

Active member
Got out for about an hour in the back yard this morning and found this.
Everything I find has to be eeked out. It just doesn't come easy with all the trash in the ground.
Don't know what the bar is for on the back on the fob.
Maybe it's not a watch fob? Maybe a ribbon hung from that back and that cannon medal from the 1800's I found hung from it?
Anybody know?

Almost resembles some kind of smalle buckle?
Whatever it is, it is a nice ornate piece. WTG :)
I've found a watch fob before but never anything like this one with a bar on the back. Pretty ornate and cool.

Someone in my detecting club on FaceBook said it appears to be part of a horse bridle buckle.
Maybe before the folks at this old house had a car they had a horse and buggy.
