These are really different detectors beyond just the operating frequency and color. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, and for different reasons I like each of them.
Was wondering how these 2 detectors compared to each other in depth, stability, all metal and just general hunting.
First, as for their depth of detection, it is going to be very close in most condition, if they have similar settings. However, when it comes to hunting the highly mineralized black sand river beaches here in the Portland, Oregon area on the two large river systems, the Eldorado has the edge because it has the lower-adjusting discrimination (a true ED-180) and can accept all metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, while ignoring the very mineralized sand. The same is true for the Eldorado in a few of the volleyball sites at parks that use a similar high-mineral sand, and some of the pea gravel playgrounds. In those playgrounds and the sandy sites I mentioned, a coin at 2" is often not detected at all in the Disc. with many models, to include Tesoro's such as the Bandido series, Silver Sabre series, Golden Sabre series, Pantera, both Conquistador's, the Silver
