I limped my way up a ladder to have a look-see into the attic of our house, only to discover some issues that need to be addressed this Spring......There is a HUGE PILE of fiberglass insulation laying off to one side of the attic, and hardly another drop to be found anywhere.........Lots of great ventilation, but we have ice dams and icicles running down exterior walls, symptoms of under-or no-insulation.This Spring I am going to play supervisorover Jason and Arthur that used to live here, they will be laying all that insulation batting out around the perimeter of the attic, keeping the vents where the overhang meets the walls clear(We also have birds and hornets coming in thru the vents,a surprise awaits them when they come back!!!!),and we are going to blow in tons of that cellulose insulation nicely over the whole she-bang in the attic, making our house more energy efficient and warmer this winter, and cooler this summer, and GOOD BYE TO ICE DAMS AND ICICLES,YAY,,,,,Won't cost a fortune to do either, with all that insulation waiting to be used, just laying up there....
