Warrior and Bottle Caps Question:jump:

[size=large]I honestly can't say for sure about the Warrior. The times that I have used it, I never dug any bottle caps. I can say this about the DeepTech machines though, when the target is iron (up to 8"-10" or so), I find that after passing over the target and it has a high pitch that as you go away from the target , you will hear a slight low tone in the audio. (If the target is extremely deep, you may get fooled but this has an upside since a lot of scrapnel and cannonballs are deep.) I dug a number of these targets to find out what they were and sure enough they were iron. Too, in my experience with all detectors, DeepTech included, there will be times when you dig some bottle caps, especially is that the case as the target gets deeper. A factor too, is that a round and / or solid piece of iron with an inch of diameter or greater, is hard for the detector to distinguish from a non-ferrous target.
Gentlemen, please chime in, nothing is written in stone and your comments will certainly help.. Thanks Richard

I sit on my caboose 5 days a week driving Georgia and Alabama and my knees are still in excellent shape...When out detecting, not the general coin hunting routine, I want everything...My discrimination is set at two and when the detector sound off, I dig....I can not comment on different sounds, be it good or bad...Null, chirp, double chirp or anything you want to call it, it comes out...

Detecting is just a hobby, great exercise and being with my 2 best detecting buddies, can not get any better than that...Good example of digging, a while back a rusted can gave a signal most people would not touch, the kind of rusted can that would crumble when touched, there were 5 early wheat cents with no value what so ever...A child's stash most likely...Then again, silver or gold coins could have been there.....Like Richard said, hunt slow and a person will always have a place to hunt at a later date...
