warranty transfer

If the new owner calls Minelab with the serial numbers they will transfer it while you're still on the phone.

I tried the phone thing but kept getting a general answering service so I contacted Wayne at Metal Detecting Stuff (a dealer in TX where I bought my 705) and he said that I would actually do good to email them.
At first I thought, email? :rolleyes:yeah, right. Well, to my surprise, they emailed me back later on the same day that I sent them the info. Mission complete in about 6 hrs. Impressive:clapping:

Apparently, my Safari is out of warranty. Just got a call from Minelab repair in Arizona. It will be a little over $200 to replace the keypad.

Worth it to me to replace it, but seems like there is some manufacturer who has a lifetime warranty. Forgot which one that was, though.

 Yeah, I guess it's easy to offer a lifetime warranty on a box with knobs mounted to an "S" rod.
