thanks to the guys i have dealt with b4 and understand the sometimes longer transaction times dealing internationally..as for Mr huggins(john)..your coil was sent immediately my better half gave me confirmation the trade coils had arrived at my post office (LAST FRIDAY!)...please sir,b4 going off the deep end, show some patience, common sense, and you,ll find b4 you over react(and i call calling our trading practice board over something that hasnt even been a month and not knowing the circumstances, over reacting
),get the story straight,please
...first off,as the poster above mentioned,i indeed do drive busses for a living(wish i could just metal detect full time tho
) and i was indeed away for work, driving a new company bus 4000 kms back home and was away for approx 18 days.if you freaked out coz i didnt answer any emails, its maybe because all my emails are STILL on my isp server still,as i only got home last Sunday and havent got my computer back from my parents, who were using it,if you also care to look at both forums, i never posted in that time either.i had the coil with me on my trip, waiting for my confirmation of your coils landing,as you can IMAGINE i wasnt going to send my bigfoot until i got this, especially when we arranged the deal and you told me you were in the middle of moving residences and asking me to send the coil to an RV park..But john
..your coil has been sent andyou may even have it as i type this,if not it wont be long...

.. international deals are as easy as trading stateside,BUT! postal delays, mis communication etc, should always be taken into account, especially now that almost every country has reacted to the sept 2001 events..ie,tighter security etc..what you got to remember (with our postal service from that time especially),is that now, customs look at packages etc BOTH WAYS...JUST BECAUSE YOUR OR MY PACKAGE MAY GET TO ITS DESTINATION IN THE QUOTED TIME(i have found the norm is 9-14 days(sometimes longer) for us to get airmail from the states, even tho usps claim 6-10,depending on the airmail choice used),here in australia at least, the package will land in a capitol city, where it will go through customs, and however long they choose to take(i have also found, that since 2001,nearly all packages i get from the us or anywhere are almost always visually inspected as well as xrayed or whatever,as almost all detector or detector gear i trade for are always opened
..heck,its the world we live in now i guess
)THEN,THEY ROAD FREIGHT THE PACKAGE TO THE REGIONAL DESTINATION..im 1800 kms from my states capital..so as you can see how long the post office says it takes and how long it actually takes are 2 different things...
it comes basically down to this
...if you are doing a trade overseas for the first time,be prepared for any eventuality, especially delivery times, and most importantly,if you are not a patient person or expect it the next day, refrain from trading overseas..if you check my feedback at other forums it has been mainly positive, and as Dan mentioned, ive been around for years..the only bad things that have gone down are postal delays and mis communication
...
i,ll email you in a couple of days,John,to check on the situation,as im on my laptop until i get my destop back and download my emails off my isp
