My name is Mike, and I have an addiction! So the rain stopped and I had about an hour to do some hunting. I headed to a ball field and hunted the area along the fence from the first base to the third base dug-outs. The coins in the photos never had a chance. Two of the quarters were 5 inches down. I also got a weak and barely repeatable signal on a dime, 6 inches down! This detector offers more fun the a man has a right too! That penny on the right below the large medallion, is a 1951 Wheat! Haha, that's is about right, I've been going to Gumax rehab, but it doesn't help still hooked! Lol, congrats Mike

Way to go Mike! I'm loaded up and ready go in the morning with my Golden. People who have never used a Tesoro Golden uMax don't know what they're missing.

Swinging a Tesoro is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. :jump:

Mike.......thanks for the pics..hows the golden i.d on the deepies?

Hi Foxhunter - I was a little surprised. It was perfect, no distortion or change in frequency. Now, 5 inches on a quarter may not seem deep, but the 6 inches on the dime was impressive for this detector which is not known for being very deep, 7+ inches. I did not dig any broken or mixed tones, just the solid ones, and these coins hit solid! No guessing if I had a good target below the coil.

Me too! I'm taking a day off to do some detecting - 3 day weekend and the weather is supposed to be good as well. I'm taking the Outlaw, but I know some where along the line I'll be swinging the Golden.

Nice job Mike on the Golden. I still need to get my hands on one but for now im waiting on my outlaw..and good to see you getting that out this weekend so I can hear some more good things on it. Also nice to know the Golden and the Outlaw can share coils cause I will eventually buy a golden once i can find a new tones machine.
