Kind of a fun hunt today! No money.....not even a cent, however, I did get a silver plated spoon, an old shotgun shell and encountered a beautiful pileated woodpecker. Great old picnic area!

Here's the shotgun shell. I have made several shotgun shell rings out of these. Below is a link on how to make them.

Finished the late afternoon with a healthy snack of buffalo jerky and some cheddar cheese. Life is good!

Yes I have......about 20 years ago, I dug up 5 piles of British Coins, stacked up, taped and buried. I am guessing that they were in the ground for at least 10 years. No silver, but some coins in the 40's. This was on the perimeter of a small park in Edmonton. In another park, I dug 39 quarters, again, stacked nicely, no tape, and buried vertically. )one short of a roll.....I searched the area and could not find the 40th coin. And.....I have dug up 2 wallets, with silver coins in them. One had a 1940 half dollar, the other one had several silver coins. Those finds are quite rare.
