waranty transfer question?

when I sell a minelab machine does anyone know how the warranty transfers over to the new owner ?

I believe it does, so long as you have the original sales paperwork.
 
I spoke to Minelab this week concerning this issue and was informed that even without the original sales paperwork you are ok to transfer. They can look up the serial number to track which dealer sold it (and approximately when). I'm about to purchase a used one and was concerned when the current owner couldn't find the receipt.
 
thanks that is what I kind of thought but when someone asked me I didn't know for sure

I did it a few months ago when I bought my CTX off of someone. I called Minelab and they asked for the serial number. It was taken care of in about 1 minute. Doesn't have to be the owner to do it.
