war nickel vdi?

Where do the war nickels read out on the vdi. I have noticed that if the vdi is 18-20 I better be digging because it is usually a nickel. I have only found a couple of war nickels so far but I am sure I am not digging them.
 
Has been 20 and some 22, but I have one here that I got from a guy as it will read 55 on the MXT and read as a zinc penny will on my Sovereign and Explorer. We believe this is because of the Magnesse in these nickles and the ground conditions as it is the only coin that use the magnesse and the only coin that will read this high in some ground conditions. In most area and most war nickles will read 20-22 on the MXT
