I have 3 old Whites C cell packs 4.8 v. and was updating too NiMH Battery..Had some old ones at the house .but turned out to be junk . Had the hole pack together and they only lasted about 3 hr's.Does anyone know of a good place online or a store that would have some.C. or sub C somewhere around 2500 mAH give or take. Cant seem to find a good name brand.or I don't know what a good brand is anymore. LOL.I see lots online .But not sure which to get.

Thanks Leslie, I know you use the AA's Batteries , do you know the mAH. and how long do they last while hunting.

2500. I hunt all day, but like I said in my previous post, I always use a freshly charged

set of batteries at the beginning of each hunt, and always carry a backup set.

I use Tenergy C cells in my White's Silver Eagle. They are rated 5000mAH. These suckers really last a long time between charges. Now I did get a bad one on my initial order. It was relpaced with no hassle. No problems since. Had them about 2 yr's now. Tenergy's basic charger will charge the 5000mAH batteries and its fairly cheap as far as chargers go. Takes about 8-10 hrs to do a full charge. Go to Amazon. I think the name of the company is Battery Superstore....or something like that. I actually bought other C cells from very highly respected european mfg's and quite frankly...they sucked. The Tenergy's are mfg in China. And I am not a big fan of chinese goods as a rule.

Thanks TerraDigger, I got some of them 2 day ago, Tenergy C cells 5000mAH.with tabs. just got wires soldered on them and in the pack charging. but they are a heavy battery , Thats why I asked Les about the AAA's I new he used them and they are a lot lighter. But I think I will like the Tenergy C.

You know Les, I had a hard time believing you that they would last all day, But live and learn,I found the NiMH energizers 2500 AA's like you hunt with. I'm on day 2 hunting about 6 hr's and there still up about 88% I"m going to switch all my packs to AA's ,,,, I have a hard time with weight, broke my back years ago and they cant touch it where its at, So I have to deal with it. so anything lighter is great. and they are a lot lighter than the C 5000 NiMh .

Thank you Les

Glad they worked out for you Lint, and yes much lighter, just

ensure the springs make good contact.
