Wanted: Bounty Hunter in VA Beach

Ok, I have no idea if this is the right forum or not, I took a guess. Ha

My wife lost a diamond stud earing 2 weekends ago while playing with the kids in the backyard pool.

Chicken fights, will getcha every time.

Anyway, I borrowed a few detectors and came up short. I did find a matchbox car, bottle cap, some change, and a few roofing nails.

Apparently, I need some muscle. The better the detector, the better the chance of finding this item that my wife got last Christmas.

PM me if you can help, or have any advise.

Thanks guys, and nice forum!

Bounty Hunter is in fact a brand. Are you limiting the help you can get to only those with a BH?

Later,
B.

Haha, no not at all.

I thought this was a section of the board for Bounty hunters. :)

I know NOTHING about this stuff.

This is a first, but glad you came here to ask...Your definitely in the right spot...Metal Detector enthusiast board here, and these folks can definitely help you find the ring if it is still out there...great opportunity for someone here...go get it!!!

HH,

We're going to get together and see if my Ace 250 and it's sniper coil can find it or not. I'll post how it goes once we give it a go.

Get someone with a metal detector that has a Visual Display Indicator (VDI) display, regular displays with an analog meter may not be as accurate for this situation but if an analog detector is the only choice, go with it. VDI means that you see 2 (00-99) or 3 (000-199) numbers on the display. Get your wife's other earring and have the detectorist scan it to get a number on the detector's display. Once you have the number for the earring, the detectorist will scan the area until he gets a similar number on his display. That should be the lost earring.

Golden Silver

I have the earing's partner, but its a stud, so the gold is small.

Maybe a mod can move this somewhere it should be located? Sorry for the mispost.

Give me a call and let me know when and where. If you have the other earring, I can see what the 250 does with it.

The Time Ranger has a 'sniff' feature that would be perfect in this situation. [Since he has the other stud.]
