New member
Want a list of every make of sov coil, eg, tornado, sun ray, coiltec, etc etc

Not the size or shape or type. just who makes em.

Many thanks

If this works it will take you to the coil site that will list them all and the weight of them.

I think kellyco is the only one who sells those, that would be an excellerator coil.

I just got a new one of the brand new 8 inch Excelerator Concentric coils on a trade deal a couple of weeks ago for the Sovereign I may be selling. I tried it for about a hour and it was OK, but like my 8 inch Coinsearch better for my use. I also have a 8 inch Concentric for my Explorer SE which I do like on the Explorer like I like the Joey for the Explorer, but not for the Sovereign as much.
The concentric seem to see a little deeper, but don't cover as much area per swing.

But I fear the cost of postage might make it a bit to much.

Has any one ever used to Sun ray 8 dd, said to have very good target separation

as the Hot Head and Penetrator haven't been made for 6 years. We now have the EXclerator line.

Interesting:confused:

Hmm...actually, I took that photo...that's my carpet there. :)

That "Hothead" isn't actually a Hothead at all but was a prototype for a new Excelerator coil for the FBS machines that I was testing for JW, on my Explorer SE.

I think I originally posted that on the Explorer forum...a bit of a surprise seeing it again here. Anyway, that's what it was. Apparently they used an old coil form with Hothead stickers on it for the prototype. Great coil, by the way. My buddy Karl is using it on his Quattro and loves it. Well-balanced, stable, and deep...weight about the same as the stock 10" coil. The current iteration of that would be the Excelerator 12.5" coil.
