my name is john and my nick name is cracker had it about 20 something years now i use crackerjuan as my screen name cause too many people use cracker & crackerjohn, originally from L.I. NEW YORK. i live in apollo beach , fl. i have my own concrete pumping business.I'm married to a woman from Columbia south America going on 9 years we have a 7 month old son & I'm 42 years old.i found a 2 3/4 bracelet in a shell parking lot about 8 months ago. ever since i found that bracelet i knew i found my new Hobie ,(something besides fishing). i been looking on e-bay for some time for a metal detector and bought this minipulse by pulsepower developments i think its about 15 years old.so far Ive found an old horse shoe in ybor city, 50 something cents,silver plated girls bracelet (costume jewelry) and a lot of clad. Ive been on here reading and seeing what you guys find for about a month now.I'm hopeing to pop my cherry soon with a nice find with my minipulse,talk soon cracker
 
Its always nice to see new people getting into the hobby. If you have any questions, there are plenty of friendly folks here on the forum to give you a helping hand. I like the finds you already have. May you find many more this coming summer.

Grew up around the corner in Selden and currently live out near Jamesport...
 
it was either 75 to 78 grams what i remember i took it to a jewerly store , i was wondering who ever made it why didnt they just make it 3 oz's
 
i know but i really like the bracelet the rope one in the picture i trade something for it a long time ago i just wanted people to see the comparison of the 2, i know if i trade it in i may never find one like it again, tuff call for me.
 
I hear ya brother, not trying to pursuade you to sell, just working on convincing you to spend $ on equipment. Yes, the initial expense can be a bit staggering for the normal mortal, but the rewards will surely come, if you are tenacious, research areas, especially ones that are not hammered (by others) and have good habits. YOU WILL cover your costs for any $ spent on equipment, but how long it takes, is up to you, that's just how it is. You can quote me on that.
