Build a floating sifter. Supplies consist of 2 water noodles (one small, one larger), a Garrett classifier, some snap ties, some water proof tape, rope, knife and about an hours time.

This sifter has no metal in it, so if your swimming area consists of small stones and rocks, just dump the load in the sifter, and run the coil over it to see if that 18K gold ring is in there. For soft sand, just dump the sand in the sifter, fill in your hole with your foot and just move on, The sifter works by itself.

Here's the basic construction.....simple but it works!

Here's it's maiden 5 minute voyage....and no I didn't get that ring from the water.

John this is a great idea. The noodles literally cost $1. And the classifier is not expensive either.

John, awesome sifter. Your the best, Joe.

Just built one last weekend out of wood and wire mesh but think I will just make one of these a lot lighter and all plastic Love it Thanks John for sharing it great Idea going today to get all materials right after I tak Wife to eat to celebrate 39 yrs of Marriage and no I still dont have her trained yet but working on it LOL

Not as Pretty as Yours But I believe they will work Made one with Tether to basket and the other strapped in to see which I like best thanks again John for the Idea I think they will be great since no metal involved

I am not sure how much water hunting I'm gonna do, but I did buy a new pair of waders last year, and I really like this idea! Thank you, for passing it on, you're giving me some strong motivation. Problem is I got more motivation than time to carry it out. Artie
