Hello Mike, this is John at John's Detectors in Blackwell, Tx.. How are you doing? What are you going to use the 10.5 coil on? Does it work really well for you? I think you had one and sold it. I might have to try one myself. I have been going down the street to my Mother-in-Laws yard and have used the ID Edge and Tesoro Golden. Both are fine instruments. The display on the Edge really seems to have a very fast sampling time or recovery. It is a neat little instrument and seems to work very well in my area. I think Fisher did pretty good with the Edge. I like the small coils that Fisher puts on the instruments also. The Edge seems to go quite deep and is very sensitive. I like the Auto GB but I sometimes wonder if it is very accurate. Ok Mike I will CU later and hope you get that 10.5 coil soon. God Bless ya amigo.

I found a 10.5" coil. Should have it in a week or so :wiggle:

You don't realized what you miss until its gone. Your are right, I had one and traded it. Live and learn

I was hunting a couple of sites with the T2 that were just really noisy. Its just the ground. They are modern sites so depth isn't a concern but ground coverage is. I took the DFX/Bigfoot combo to the same place and it was noisy there too. Hate hunting in noise. Just ruins the fun and tenses me up in short order. :rage:

The CS will run quiet at these places. It can be set stone cold stable anywhere, but the stock coil just doesn't cover enough ground. So the 10.5" on the CoinStrike will put the fun back into these sites. You can control the detection field shape with the sensitivity control and the stability with the threshold control. That and the DD characteristics of the eliptical design make it a nice combo in these places. :hot:

Doesn't feel too heavy either after you put in some time swinging a 2lb Cleansweep on the end of a Golden

Glad your mother in laws house is providing such good ground for you

Hello Mike and that's no problem. I'm looking at maybe dealing in the T2. How do you like the T2 by the way Mike? I am at least going to try one. I have been loving the Golden! Right now I am learning how to use the C-Scope CS1220R, just got a couple in from England. First non-motion Instrument for me. I don't know about anyone else but I have had fun with the Edge and I do like it. I'm glad you found you a coil. I hate doing that too, selling something and wish I had not done that! Yeah I just never figured I was stepping on so many coins at the MIL house. But funny thing not one silver coin yet. Ok Mike good to chat with you again so God Bless ya mi amigo and much success to you.
