Want opinions on camera and where to buy

I've read some reviews of cameras and have decided that an Oly C2040Z is the one that I want.I'm impressed with its macro capability to photograph coins close up,as well as its res and manual options. My computer is a 166MMX,using Windows 95.I understand that the camera has a USB cable, but my computer doesn't have a USB port.I believe that I can use Smart Card with flashpath adapter from my Polaroid PDC640 camera to download my photos, instead of the USB.If the Smart Card/adapter won't work I'd like to know.I have heard that the software that comes with this camera can cause problems.Even though my computer is not the latest,I don't want to buy another one at this time.Once I decide on what camera to buy,the question is where to buy it.I've gone to resellers.com site and read all kinds of horror stories about "gray market" items, excessive fees, rude salespeople, long delays, etc.I might pay more at a local store, like Circuit City or Office Max,but at least I can inspect what I'd be buying and not worry about being gypped.Your thoughts on this matter will be much appreciated.Thanks.

The best website in my view is dpreview.com for reviews and news about digital cameras......

I have Windows 95b and USB support, but I don't know. I haven't got my camera yet.
Good luck, Bob

Hello,
Depending on the USB chipset and if you have 95b or 95c then you can use the USB one
There is a parallel port one, SDDR-01
The reader is a drive, works like a floppy drive (copy, past, save)
You need photo software to open and edit the photos
