Wanna see a bee-you-tee-full merc?

Can't believe the condition of this gorgeous coin.
Found it in the woods in my local park, it's like someone got this from the mint and came to this park and dropped it.
97 years later I come along to dig it up.
Stellar!

Thanks!
Thrilled with this thing.
Had to download some new editing software just to see if I can show it off better.

That is one Beautiful Merc. Congratulations.

Just think of the things that have happened to our country since that beautiful coin was lost. Congrats--you and that 70 are a deadly combo.

Looks like it was dropped straight out of the mint! Congrats! All Merc's are beautiful, my favorite. This one is gorgeous.

Thanks all!
A couple of coin guys on different forums have indicated this one needs to be looked at by someone more knowledgeable than I am so a visit to a coin shop is in my future.
Environmentally damaged or not still worth way more than a normal circulated variety.

Howdy REVIER--

That IS a beaut! I don't see any trace of wear and it has an excellent strike. It falls into the FB category ( full bands) . In MS60FB (the minimum uncirculated grade) it lists for $42 and in MS67FB , lists for $1500. As a dug coin, it probably wont grade in the higher end but who knows! Congratulations on a beautiful find! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

I think that might be a key date. It sure is a beauty. A very nice find... KEN
