Walking Through the Owner's Manual

Cody

New member
Would there be a value for all of us to take the Owner's Manual and go through it? We can proceeds as a "new user" and all contribute and see what we come up with. It is amazing what we miss that other catch and how much there is in what I think is an excellent Owner's Manual.

I don't learn much of anything just reading what I think so very much enjoy the posts of others. This may be a way to get some input from some of the folks that don't say a lot.

And the biggest mistakes we have all made in Detecting..........This is mine: I like to Detect old cellar holes, so I do not tell anybody where I am going and take no cell phone. Walked a couple miles into the woods, watching the deer and wild turkey. Got to my site and Detected a little, I decided to change coils. Of course, I had my Headsets on. I sat on a old foundation and proceeded to change coils.............Then, I looked up and a Very Big Black Bear was within arms reach, standing looking right at me :help: He looked like "Godzilla the Black Bear" !!! Anyway, I guess the Bear did not like my looks and ran away.........My hole puckered for a while (Believe it) ! THINK SAFETY FIRST THEN HAVE FUN...HAPPY HUNTING !!!!

Cody, I just received my Explorer II and, since it's my first MD, I *really* like your idea!

You'll wish you had a cell phone with you if you end up mis-steppin' into an old well, cess poll or snake's mouth. You can always turn it off so you don't get any incoming but it's really essential safety precautions if you're out by yourself.

That's why I always carry a handgun, just make it a lightweight and water resistant like a Glock 23 and you've got a compact, lightweight winner. I just got an Explorer II and I like the idea Cody, I've been reading the manual complete once a week for 2 months, good reading :D.
