Sent my F-75 to FRL a couple of weeks ago for the upgrade and to replace one cam-lock. Imagine they have test equipment so it can be tweaked. Also sent my small coil to be checked out. Everything was working just fine so I don't expect any surprises. Sent it off on 2/23 and I think it got there on 2/25 via UPS. They've had it about 10 days so I'm thinking it's on its way back.

Weather is warming up and ground is almost thawed. Have this feeling that the F-75 is going to help me find my first gold coin this year. Hope it's a $5.00.

It's back in a little over two weeks. Everything looks great. Hand grip feels substantial. Display looks new and possibly larger. Seating of the batteries feels more solid and no more intermittent on and off. Looks like they returned my original coils. Figured they would as they were working perfect.

During part of 2008 there was some discussion about FRL changing the factory reset Discrimination from 10 to 15 during the upgrade. Not too long after that, the word was that they were sticking with the Disc. of 10 on factory reset. My F-75 now factory resets on Disc. of 15. Makes sense because when it was set at 10 there was a full slash through the word IRON at the top of the display indicating that the first category IRON and its two ranges (1 thru 7) & (8 thru 15) were not being detected. In reality, 1 thru 10 were not being detected but 11 thru 15 were.

Now with the factory reset Disc. at 15, the full slash through the word IRON is telling the true story. Numbers (1 thru 7) and (8 thru 15) are not detected.

Come on warm weather

Ron
