The mailman is suppose to deliver me a Tesoro Eldorado (uMax style) detector today.

I've previously bought two of them, but I either sold or traded them off. I traded one straight up for a Teknetics Omega.

I sure have missed having an Eldorado in my detector arsenal. I'm going to put a 8 inch brown doughnut coil on if I can find a good used one.

With my bad arm, every ounce counts.

It looks like it's going to be tomorrow before I take delivery. I can't hunt anyway, because it's too hot and the lack of rain has made the ground as hard as concrete.

Oh and that hard ground fractured my Lesche tonight. Think it can be welded. But after that it was personal and I didn't stop till I dug a '50 rosie I knew it was there heh.

If you get the Cortez and it does not seem to work right give me a yell. I struggled with mine the first day and soon learned it liked a little different set up than most detectors. Mine works great now but I was ready to send it back the first day.

Found $5.00 in change today with several nickles. I also found three rings, so my set up is good to go.

Mine got hung up in Chattanooga. It looks like it's going through the sort cycle again after it was reported out the door and on its way to the Memphis sort facility.

It's looking like Monday or Tuesday will be the big day.
