It's like christmas day. You will love it once you learn it and I agree your silver totals will go up at least 3x. I look forward to seeing what you find.

Good for you! You will love it as long as you give it a chance and don't get frustrated after your first day. Swing slow, listen and dig repeatable signals that sound decent. You will soon learn what's good and whats bad. And if a signal sounds good but it nulls out a bit between some good numbers, push quick mask with the screen opened up. You will soon learn that deep iron will try and fool you into digging it out of the ground. Hope to soon see some good finds from you!

Jeff made an excellent point. Rusted iron and/or deep iron will sound like silver and will read as 46 - 47 FE (at least in my ground). When you open quick mask with a wide open screen, iron will normally read CO 25 - 35. Be careful though as iron next to a good target could cause the CO to meld together and make you think that it is trash. Check the target from different directions to see if the signal jumps up into the good target range. In heavy trash, go low and slow. If the areas that you hunt tend to be on the trashy side, you may want to consider getting a smaller coil. The SunRay X5, 6" DD EXcelerator EQ 2 Pro, and 8x6" SEF (Butterfly) are all excellent small coils.
