Waikiki Beach Finds

Oahu_Tom

New member
This photo shows about six hours worth of hunting on Waikiki Beach. Only found one small silver toe ring (in the water). Hunted both dry sand and in the water with White's Surf PI.. I'm still waiting for what seems like an elusive gold ring to show up!

Hi tom that haul looks a lot like my takings when i was over there i think why you wont find a gold ring there is the sheer amount of detectorists on the beach at waikiki the time i went there were about six of us doing the dry sand , one guy called GERMAN GEORGE a local was picking the coins up with his toes and then throwing them back thus the amount of copper coins there.terry in oztralia:ausflag:

carried around 3 beat up excaliburs, was homeless and on the Bounty Hunter show. I think he was from Australia originally. Very nice guy.

Hi sanddigger mate when i saw this guy at waikiki a lady came over to me and told me he [german george] would kick over peoples bags and detect what falls out ,she also told me he has been arrested a few times in hawaii for doing that stuff, also that is proberbly why he left australia glad he did.terry in oz:ausflag:

Hey Tom,

I think you done pretty good considering all the MDers that frequent Waikiki.

Good luck
