Waders

I was wondering what a person should look for when purchasing a pair of waders for detecting lakes in the midwest.

You may want to get some neoprene wadders. If the water is warmer, you may want some breatble ones... more costly but they will last for a long time.
One thing for sure, cheaper wadders wont last too long before they leak.

I use two pairs. I am currently using Simms waders they are not cheap but comfortable and warm (Gortex) I also use neoprene when the water gets into the 30's.

There is something you want to keep in mind . This goes for chest waders if you choose to use them for either detecting or fishing.........

If you take a fall, they can fill up with a lot of water and drown you. You need to tie the top snugly around your chest so they won't fill up too quickly in case of an accident.
