VX3 VS MXT PRO

I currently use a MXT PRO and have good success with it, but in your opinion do you think the VX3 would do better in depth and discrimination than the PRO.
I hunt schools, parks, open fields and the dry sand of fresh water beaches. Most of the time I use my 5.3 coil over the 950 and I am satisfied with my kb headphones
so wireless headphones are not important to me. I have used Whites detectors since the 70's ( along with many other brands) and try to use the best detectors currently
available that match my hunting style.
I would appreciate your opinions,
Thanks

well i dont have alot of time on my vx3, but i can tell you its smoother than the mxt pro..seems to id better and gives alot more info.. ive had mxt and mxt pro..great machines and they can keep up with the best of em. but i think the vx3 is better all around detector. 3 freq is a really good idea,,,,,,,,,,but as i said i dont have alot of time in the field.. but good things are coming.

Some depth advantages will be seen by upgrading but the biggest differences will be in the advanced features of the V series. If you are only looking for more depth, the move might not be worth the extra money IMHO. The discrimination will be superior on the V, you will be moving up from a linear knob to a 191 notch discriminator. You will also go from 7 tones to 191 tones if you like the tone ID feature.
